About Turbo Thinkers© (That’s You!)

I coined this term to express the nuances of our brains, which are often just plain wired differently. So what exactly is a Turbo Thinker©?

Turbo Thinkers© are the ones who succeed. The ones who ask questions. We’re exceptionally curious and have a lifelong love of learning. Driven by intense passion, we dive into details, exploring from a global, even universal perspective.

Our supercharged minds go both wide and deep. We are wonderers and wanderers. We’re the ones who drive innovation to change the world.

I define a Turbo Thinker© as a high achiever with a fast moving, highly creative mind — ADHD diagnosis or not. Many high performers, entrepreneurs, and legendary achievers have a turbo-charged brain and the strengths that come with it.

Because I see your turbo thinking brain as an asset, my coaching focuses on just that.

Through individual or group coaching, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of how your brain works best, sharpen your executive function skills, and hone your emotional regulation skills. By learning the tools and building a practice, you’ll unleash the courage to create your own success and switch from the dreamer to the achiever you are.

Unlike therapy or counseling, coaching is a collaborative process. Rather than a therapist, I’m your collaborative thinking partner. I stay in touch with my clients between sessions, running alongside you as you create new neural pathways, until you feel confident to succeed on your own. Like a fitness program, coaching is a transformational experience, designed to set you up to excel independently.

I know with the right tools, we can work together to achieve your own definition of happiness and fulfillment.

About Adela (That’s Me!)

I began coaching after encountering my first Turbo Thinker© struggling in a neurotypical world: my son. Upon discovering his “race car brain with tricycle brakes,” I had a light bulb moment:

If I was going to help my son, I was going to help the world.

I threw myself into understanding the neuroscience behind ADHD, enrolling in a rigorous training program and credentialing process. With the conviction to help my son appreciate and harness his ADHD-diagnosed, Turbo Thinker© mind, I initially began coaching ADHD clients. That was more than a few years ago…

I now sit on the board of directors of the ADHD Coaches Association (ACO) and serve as a mentor and session leader for the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches (PAAC), making me one of the few coaches worldwide who reviews and sponsors ADHD coaches aspiring to be credentialed.

Each step in my career — from corporate training overseas, to foreign language instruction, to diversity coordinating — has led me to this field, and further education has equipped me with the advanced coaching skills and psychology training to be great at what I do.

For over seven years, I’ve experienced the power of coaching as a parent, partner, friend, employer, coach, and coachee. I believe every individual has the innate talent they need to find success. And I believe in your success.

I'm endorsed as a coach by:
  • No ADHD diagnosis is needed. While I no longer offer only ADHD coaching, here’s my own official definition: ADHD coaching is a creative and collaborative process that empowers clients to manage their attention, hyperactivity (physical, mental or emotional), and impulsivity while strengthening their executive function skills. These skills can include sustained attention, task initiation, time management, organization, planning, prioritization, working memory, intrinsic motivation, and metacognition. Clients are encouraged to be their most authentic selves in a safe environment, free of all fear and judgment. With mutual openness and curiosity, the coach and client explore current concerns and opportunities while looking to areas of personal growth and development. An integration of ADHD traits, behaviors, patterns, and challenges, all viewed through the lens of neuroscience, creates abundant space for clients to use newfound strengths and confidence in successfully harnessing the power of their unique turbo-charged brains. The client engages in the process of envisioning goals, planning steps, and taking actions that result in learning, accomplishment, and empowerment. Coaching is a transformational experience, in which ADHD strengths are included as a backdrop for dynamic performance.

  • Which is best for you? Individual or group coaching? Hmmmm. Both! They can even build on each other.

Both are coaching for Turbo Thinkers© and both are a transformational experience. While there are certainly educational components, neither option is a class bound by curriculum. Many of my clients start out with one type of coaching and then move to another. For example, you might begin with individual coaching, and then follow-up with group coaching to keep yourself accountable and on track for even more intense growth. Or, you might try group coaching as a way to explore what coaching looks like and how it feels for you, before shifting to the one-on-one coaching experience.

If you’re not sure, just schedule a consultation call, and together we’ll do a little digging to see which option is right for you.

  • I only coach adults, generally between the ages of 30 to 65, who are independently seeking and investing in support with their executive function skills. They may or may not have an ADHD diagnosis, but do experience ADHD-like symptoms either sporadically during high stress periods or consistently.

I work with entrepreneurs, digital nomads, and any adult professional who envisions transforming possibilities into reality. From creatives to corporate executives, investors to engineers, Mind Coach provides solutions, mindset shifts, and life-changing results to people with big plans for everything they want to accomplish in their most fulfilled, authentic lives.

  • Nope! There are plenty of fabulous coaches who work specifically with kids, young adults, and students. I’m not one of them.

(See what I did there? That’s some serious boundary-setting. I can show you how it’s done.)
